Check Device Compatibility

Bring your own phone to the Nationwide Sprint 4G LTE Network!

Your device will generally be approved if it has met the following criteria:

Financial and contractual commitments meet with original carrier.

Device not reported as lost, stolen or fraudulently obtained.

Device has original ESN (serial number) as assigned by manufacturer.

Device operating system not altered or modified.

Approved as model that may be activated on the Sprint network.

If your device is capable of using multiple networks, please ensure that your device is unlocked. The compatibility check only validates your device is compatible with the network. It will not check if your device is unlocked. If you are unsure whether your device is unlocked please check with your current or previous service provider.

Warning: If your device is locked it will fail activation following the completion of your order and payment.

Flash Supported Devices

By the end of 2019, 3G and older 4G devices will no longer work properly on Flash Wireless. To view Flash Supported Devices by Make and Model click here.

Enter your device Serial Number (IMEI, ESN, or MEID)

No dashes, no spaces

Need help finding your IMEI, ESN, or MEID

Complete one of the following steps:

  • Dial *#06# on your phone.
  • Check in the settings menu:
    • Android: Go to Settings> About device> Status
    • iPhone: Go to Settings> General >About
  • Check under your device’s battery for MEID or DEC- either number may be submitted.

Next, get a SIM card.


You can check your device compatibility here. The system will determine if your phone is a GSM device and that it has not been reported lost or stolen. The system cannot determine if your device is locked. If your device is locked your device will not activate on Flash Wireless. To unlock your device contact the wireless carrier the device was last activated on. For reference you can view the Unlocking Policy for each carrier.

The IMEI is the electronic serial number of your device. To locate your IMEI: Complete one of the following steps:

  1. Dial *#06# on your phone.
  2. Check in the settings menu:
    Android: Go to Settings > About device > Status
    iPhone: Go to Settings > General > About
  3. Check under your device's batter for MEID or DEC - either number may be submitted.


For service on Flash Wireless you must use a Flash Wireless SIM card. If you do not have a Flash Wireless SIM card and you would like to bring your own device you will be provided the option to receive one for free when you validate your device after checking compatibility.

The Flash Wireless SIM cards are triple punched. One card has all three sizes; simply select a size and detach from the card. For a listing of SIM card sizes please see the SIM card Size Guide.

As the data networks of Flash Wireless carriers have matured, several updates have been applied that allow 4G/LTE devices to provide an optimal data experience. 3G devices, will now provide a sub-standard performance and this performance will continue to decrease in quality.

Yes. However, we encourage you to upgrade your device as soon as possible.
